Adluri Laxman Kumar congratulates SC Study Circle UPSC achievers

Hyderabad: SC and ST Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar congratulated two students from the Telangana SC Study Circle who secured ranks in the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination 2025. He said the achievement reflects the quality training provided to students from marginalised communities.

According to the UPSC results, two candidates from the study circle secured national ranks in the final list. A. Ashish from Warangal secured All India Rank 676. Meanwhile, D. Praveen Kumar from Mulugu secured All India Rank 793.

The minister said both candidates could receive an opportunity in the Indian Police Service depending on final service allocation. He described the achievement as a proud moment for Telangana.

He also explained the performance of students in the UPSC examination cycle. A total of 27 candidates from the study circle cleared the preliminary examination conducted in May last year.

Those candidates later appeared for the Civil Services main examination held in August. Out of them, seven students qualified for the interview stage of the selection process.

Finally, two candidates secured ranks in the UPSC Civil Services final list. Adluri Laxman Kumar said the result shows the effectiveness of the training provided by the institution.

He also noted that students from the study circle secured around 33 ranks in the Telangana Group-I examination. According to the minister, this reflects the strong academic support provided by the centre.

Adluri Laxman Kumar said the government remains committed to supporting unemployed youth from SC and ST communities. The aim is to help more candidates secure jobs in state and central services.

He also thanked the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana for supporting the programme and providing funds.

The minister congratulated Ashish and Praveen Kumar and said their success would inspire many young aspirants.

Adluri Laxman Kumar also appreciated the efforts of A. Narasimha Reddy, director of the study circle, and the faculty members. Their work helped more than 1,000 candidates from SC and ST communities secure government jobs.

The selected candidates also received congratulations from Special Chief Secretary and SCDD chairman Sabyasachi Ghosh. Commissioner and TGSCSC vice-chairperson B. Vijayendra also conveyed their wishes.

The Telangana SC Study Circle in Banjara Hills provides a 10-month residential IAS coaching programme every year. Established in 1980, the centre has produced more than 450 civil servants.
