Aadhaar e-signatures launched in Armoor, Kusumanchi SRO offices

Hyderabad: In a move to speed up and simplify property registrations, the Telangana government has kicked off Aadhaar-based e-signatures at sub-registrar offices in Armoor and Kusumanchi. This marks the start of a phased rollout across the state beginning June 2.

Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced the initiative on Monday, saying the new system aims to drastically cut down wait times and reduce corruption in the registration process. With Aadhaar e-signatures, property registrations are expected to wrap up in just 10 to 15 minutes.

During the meeting, the minister and top officials focused on ways to take the load off overcrowded registration offices. Key steps included widening the slot booking system and strategically deploying newly promoted staff where the rush is highest.

The expanded slot booking system is aimed at making the appointment process more efficient and cutting down those long queues that frustrate people. Officials have been asked to stay alert and tackle any tech snags quickly so the system runs without hiccups.

To keep up with rising demand, additional sub-registrars have been posted in key areas like Patancheru, Yadagirigutta, Gandipet, Suryapet, Jadcherla, Mahbubnagar, Wanaparthy, and Gadwal.

Wrapping up, Minister Srinivas Reddy called on sub-registrars to work with honesty and efficiency, emphasizing that quick, transparent service will go a long way in reinforcing public confidence and the state’s image.
