HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has allocated an additional ₹300 crore for the development of Chakali Ilamma Women’s University, formerly known as Koti Women’s College. This funding aims to enhance the university’s infrastructure and academic facilities.
On International Women’s Day, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for the university’s development projects, with a total budget of ₹500 crore. The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to transforming the university into a premier institution with international standards, empowering female students to become future leaders.
The university’s infrastructure development includes the construction of academic blocks, an auditorium, sports grounds, and other facilities, with a directive to complete the projects within 30 months. The Chief Minister assured regular reviews of the construction progress to ensure timely completion.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu reiterated the government’s commitment to elevating Chakali Ilamma Women’s University into one of India’s premier institutions, with readiness to allocate substantial funds for campus development.
