Hyderabad: Minister for Irrigation and Civil Supplies Uttam Kumar Reddy on Thursday said that workers are close to finishing the construction. They are building 2160 single bedroom houses, providing much-needed residences, in Huzurnagar town. This construction is part of a larger housing initiative.
At a public meeting held in the town, Reddy stated that the housing project at Ramaswami Gutta is the result of 13 years of steady effort. He stressed that only eligible applicants will get the houses. The plan for the homes spanning 2160 bedrooms emphasizes transparency. There will be no bribes or backdoor deals allowed.
Indiramma rules to guide fair allotment
Government officials have started collecting applications and checking records. This process will identify eligible recipients. Reddy made it clear that they will allot the homes under Indiramma housing rules. Eligibility is the only basis for these single bedroom houses, totaling 2160, in Huzurnagar town.
He added that the scheme will include all qualified people, even those who do not own land. This approach marks a key change from past housing plans. Reddy emphasized the significance of constructing houses with 2160 single bedrooms as part of the project. Furthermore, he promised that no applicant will need to pay even a single rupee to receive a house.
