Hyderabad: YouTuber Komali died in hospital on Tuesday, a day after she allegedly attempted suicide at her residence in Manikonda’s Chitrapuri Colony.
Family members found her hanging from a ceiling fan on Monday afternoon when no one else was at home. They rushed her to a hospital immediately. Doctors treated her for nearly 24 hours before she succumbed on Tuesday while undergoing treatment.
Police probe into YouTuber Komali death
Preliminary information indicated that personal issues may have led to the incident. Sources said she had been in a relationship for the past three years with fellow YouTuber Akhil Reddy. The two reportedly ended the relationship about a year ago.
Family members told police that she had been under stress following the breakup. They also stated that she had attempted suicide once earlier.
Rayadurgam Police registered a case and began an investigation into the death of YouTuber Komali. Officers are analysing her mobile phone data to determine whom she contacted before the incident.
Investigators are examining all angles, including the role of Akhil Reddy. Police said the inquiry is in progress.
