Youth Apad Mithra training concludes in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Officials of the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency urged trained youth volunteers to remain available during emergencies and extend disaster awareness training to others.

The Youth Apad Mithra training programme for volunteers from Sangareddy, Medak, Hyderabad and Siddipet districts concluded at the HYDRAA office on Thursday.

Speaking at the event, HYDRAA Additional Commissioner R. Sudarshan and Additional Director Varla Papaiah advised volunteers to stay ready to assist people during natural disasters.

They said the Youth Apad Mithra training should not go to waste. Instead, each volunteer should train at least ten others and spread awareness about disaster response.

As part of the Youth Apad, volunteers learned CPR techniques and basic life-saving procedures. They also received guidance on rescue measures during floods and fire accidents.

In addition, trainers explained steps to control emergencies and protect people during disasters.

Officials urged the volunteers to remain alert and available as responsible citizens. They also said HYDRAA was ready to utilise their services whenever needed.

The officials encouraged the youth to cultivate a sense of social responsibility and work for public welfare.
