Wanaparthy Collector casts vote, calls for responsible voting

Hyderabad: Wanaparthy District Collector Adarsh Surabhi cast his vote on Wednesday and appealed to citizens to use their constitutionally guaranteed voting right responsibly.

Earlier in the morning, he reached the Marrikunta polling station in Ward No. 9 under the municipal limits. Notably, the Collector stood in the queue along with other voters and exercised his franchise at 7 am.

By voting alongside the public, he underlined the importance of equality in the democratic process. Moreover, he said every vote carried immense value in shaping accountable governance.

He further said voting should be treated as a responsibility rather than a routine exercise. Therefore, informed and conscious participation remained essential for strengthening democracy.

Collector urges voters to reject inducements

Speaking after casting his vote, Surabhi urged voters not to fall for inducements or external pressure. Instead, he appealed to them to vote with integrity and awareness.

He said voters should carefully choose capable public representatives who could work sincerely for public welfare. In this way, responsible voting would help ensure transparent and effective local governance.

Additionally, the Collector appealed for peaceful participation throughout the polling process. He noted that higher voter turnout reflected a healthy democratic system.

Meanwhile, election officials ensured the smooth conduct of polling at the centre. Security personnel also maintained order as voters continued to arrive steadily through the morning.
