Hyderabad: Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away in Mumbai on Monday at the age of 89. The actor had been under treatment at Breach Candy Hospital for several days before his demise.
Tributes poured in from across the country, including condolences from the President, Prime Minister, top Bollywood figures, and sports personalities. Widely celebrated as the ‘He-Man of Bollywood,’ Dharmendra was remembered as much for his screen presence as for his poetic spirit.

Dharmendra delivered a string of iconic performances across genres. His filmography includes classics such as Ayee Milan Ki Bela, Phool Aur Patthar, Aaye Din Bahar Ke, Seeta Aur Geeta, Raja Jani, Jugnu, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Dost, Sholay, Pratiggya, Charas, and Dharam Veer.
Even in his later years, he continued to appear on screen. In 2023, he played a key role in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, directed by Karan Johar.
Widely admired for his versatility, Dharmendra’s career spanned over six decades, earning him accolades and a permanent place in Indian cinema’s golden legacy.
