Hyderabad: Senior IAS officer K Ramakrishna Rao, who recently assumed charge as the Chief Secretary of Telangana, met Irrigation & Civil Supplies Minister Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy at latter’s residence in Banjara Hills on Monday. The senior bureaucrat was warmly congratulated by Uttam Kumar Reddy, who shared a personal connection dating back more than two decades.
Recounting their association, Uttam Kumar Reddy recalled that he had first met Ramakrishna Rao when the latter served as Joint Collector of Nalgonda in the late 1990s. “It was from him that I received my election certificate when I was first elected as an MLA in 1999,” Reddy said, highlighting the long-standing professional rapport between the two.
Describing Ramakrishna Rao as a highly capable and efficient officer, Reddy expressed confidence in his leadership. He said that the new Chief Secretary would steer the state’s administrative machinery with competence and integrity.
Lok Sabha MP Raghuveer Reddy was also present during the meeting and joined Uttam Kumar Reddy in wishing the new Chief Secretary a successful tenure in service to the state and its people.
