Hyderabad: Uppal police arrested two persons within six hours in connection with a murder in Chilkanagar, cracking the case soon after the incident.

The case surfaced on March 15 after Kanupur Srikanth, a hotel worker from Medipally, filed a complaint. He told police that his brother-in-law Paruvula Sudheer Kumar lay dead on a road in a pool of blood.

According to investigators, the victim had ongoing disputes with prime accused Banothu Santosh. On the evening of the incident, Santosh, along with associate Podishetty Tarun, called Sudheer Kumar to Chilkanagar ground.

Sudheer reached the spot with his friend Imran Khan. During the meeting, an argument broke out when he questioned Santosh over alleged abuse. Santosh then pulled out a knife and attacked him.

When the victim tried to flee, both accused chased him and stabbed him multiple times. He died on the spot, and the accused fled.

During the investigation, Uppal police identified the suspects and arrested them on March 16. The accused include Banothu Santosh, a Rapido rider, and Podishetty Tarun, a car driver, both residents of Uppal.
