UoH Thai Consulate academic partnership talks held

Hyderabad: UoH Thai Consulate partnership discussions were held as the University of Hyderabad hosted a delegation from the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Chennai to expand academic exchanges.

Racha Aribag, Consul General, and Pornpun Pupiangjai, Deputy Consul General, met Vice Chancellor Prof. B.J. Rao to explore avenues of cooperation. Prof. Bramanandam Manavathi, Director of the Office of International Affairs, and Prof. Arvind Susarla, Associate Director, also attended the meeting.

Both sides focused on strengthening structured student and faculty exchange programmes between UoH and universities in Thailand. They exchanged details about academic opportunities available to UoH scholars and potential avenues for Thai students and researchers in Hyderabad.

UoH Thai Consulate partnership to expand exchange programmes

During the interaction, officials discussed mechanisms to formalise collaborations through sustained mobility initiatives. They underlined the importance of structured agreements to support long-term academic cooperation.

Moreover, the Office of International Affairs is expected to hold further consultations with the Thai Consulate to finalise modalities. The proposed framework aims to facilitate regular exchanges and joint academic activities.

University officials said the engagement marked another step in expanding the institution’s global partnerships. They added that such initiatives would enhance international exposure for students and faculty members.
