Hyderabad: The Critical minerals roadshow Hyderabad will take place on Monday to present the 7th tranche of auctions for strategic mineral blocks and the second tranche of exploration licences.
The Union Ministry of Mines will organise the Critical minerals roadshow Hyderabad at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre in Gachibowli. Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy will attend the event. Senior officials, state representatives, industry stakeholders, and prospective bidders will also join the programme.
The Critical minerals roadshow will feature 19 critical and strategic mineral blocks. These include tungsten, lithium, tin, and rock phosphate. These minerals play a key role in clean energy, advanced technologies, and fertiliser production.
Earlier, the ministry completed six auction tranches. It successfully auctioned 46 critical mineral blocks. Therefore, the government continued efforts to strengthen mineral security and reduce import dependence.
Critical minerals roadshow Hyderabad to highlight exploration licences
The Critical minerals roadshow Hyderabad will also present the second tranche of Exploration Licence blocks. This move aims to increase private sector participation in exploration. It will especially focus on deep-seated and critical minerals.
Moreover, the exploration licence system provides a structured framework for reconnaissance and prospecting. As a result, it strengthens the exploration ecosystem in the country. It also encourages companies to invest in early-stage mineral discovery.
During the roadshow Hyderabad, officials will present details on mineral potential, auction frameworks, and policy reforms. In addition, organisers will conduct an interactive session. This session will address stakeholder queries and encourage wider participation.
The Critical minerals roadshow Hyderabad aligns with the government’s vision of building a self-reliant mineral sector. It also supports the clean energy transition. Furthermore, it advances the goals of Atmanirbhar Bharat by promoting domestic resource development.
