Hyderabad: Tension prevailed in Lingampally on Wednesday night after an unidentified woman’s body was found in a nala near the local market. Residents spotted the body and alerted Chandanagar police, who reached the spot and retrieved it.
Police said the woman’s identity was not yet established. A tattoo reading “Narsamma” was found on her hand. A purse recovered from the site contained gold earrings, a bracelet, and a slip with a phone number.

A case has been registered, and the body was shifted to a hospital for a post-mortem. Chandanagar police are verifying the recovered belongings to trace the woman’s identity and investigate the circumstances of her death.
