Hyderabad: Two youths found dead in an auto parked under the Chandrayangutta flyover triggered tension in Hyderabad’s Old City on Wednesday. Locals noticed the bodies inside the vehicle and immediately alerted police.
Police rushed to the spot and inspected the auto. They identified the deceased as Mohammad Jahangir and Irfan. Officers also found drug injection equipment near the bodies. Because of this, they suspect that the men may have died due to a steroid overdose. However, the cause of death will be confirmed only after further examination.
Police registered a case and launched an investigation. They are verifying the sequence of events that led to the deaths and are tracing the source of the suspected substances.

Investigators said the auto had been parked at the location for some time before locals noticed the bodies. Since the area is busy throughout the day, several residents gathered as soon as they spotted the scene. Police dispersed the crowd and began collecting evidence.
Officers stated that more details will emerge after forensic reports are received. They also initiated inquiries into the victims’ recent movements.
