Hyderabad: A two-year-old boy died after accidentally falling into a vessel of hot gruel in Madaram village of Wargal mandal, Siddipet district, police said on Saturday.
According to officers, Mokshit, son of Swamy and Maheshwari, was playing at the house of his uncle Yellam on July 2 when he slipped into a pot of steaming gruel. Family members rushed him to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad for treatment, but the child died early on July 5 while under medical care.
Gauraram sub-inspector Karunakar Reddy confirmed a case was registered based on a complaint from the boy’s mother. The child’s death left the family devastated.
