Hyderabad: Mancherial police arrested two men for causing public nuisance and trying to assault police officers while drunk. The incident took place late Sunday night in Rajiv Nagar Colony, said Circle Inspector Pramod.
Around midnight, someone called the 100 emergency number to report two men Chippakurthi Satish and Sabbani Raju drinking near Santosh Kirana Shop and creating a disturbance.
Head Constables Sanjeev and Raju from the Blue Colt patrol team reached the spot and asked the men to stop. Instead, the intoxicated duo argued and attempted to attack the officers.
Police took both men into custody and filed a case for attempting to assault personnel on duty.
