Tilak Varma recalls pressure, credits parents and coach
Tilak said he dedicated the Asia Cup triumph to Indian soldiers. He revealed that Pakistan players tried repeatedly to provoke the Indian team during the final. “We felt angry, but we kept the nation in mind. That helped us stay calm and play with focus,” he said.
He explained that India had already lost three crucial wickets when he came in. “I felt extra responsibility at that stage. I played with determination and helped the team win. All of us contributed as a unit,” he added.
Tilak described the win as a moment of immense joy. He credited his parents and coach for shaping his career. Speaking about Pakistan, he said players showed a visible change in attitude after Operation Sindoor.
