Tight security in place for PM Modi’s Srisailam visit on Oct 16

Hyderabad: Elaborate security arrangements have been made ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Srisailam on October 16. The Prime Minister is scheduled to offer prayers at the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple, one of the revered Jyotirlingas.

Nandyal district SP Sunil Sheran said security forces, including Greyhounds, are conducting extensive checks in and around Srisailam. Patrols are underway across the Nallamala forest region and nearby areas to prevent any untoward incidents.

The SP personally inspected key sites including the helipad, road route, temple premises, and Bhramaramba Guest House. He also visited the designated safe house for the Prime Minister.

Sheran reviewed the security plans with senior officials and instructed them to remain on high alert throughout the visit. He emphasised that all departments must coordinate closely to ensure the Prime Minister’s safety.
