Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Bhoomireddy Sudhakar Reddy, Sub-Engineer and in-charge Assistant Engineer at TGSPDCL, Lalaguda Section, Padmarao Nagar, Secunderabad. He demanded and took a ₹15,000 bribe from a contractor.
Officials said the bribe was to process a file for upgrading a single-phase meter to a three-phase meter. He also promised to prepare an estimate for setting up a 63 KVA transformer at the site handled by the complainant. ACB teams caught him while accepting the cash.
ACB appeals for public help in Telangana bribe cases
The ACB urged citizens to report any demand for bribes by government staff. People can reach the bureau through Toll-Free Number 1064, WhatsApp (9440446106), Facebook (Telangana ACB), or acb.telangana.gov.in.
Officials said they keep complainants’ identities secret. The bureau also promised quick action in every corruption case across Telangana.
