Hyderabad: Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao reviewed ongoing projects of Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation during a meeting held at the Secretariat on Tuesday.

Managing Director of TGIIC K. Shashanka presented a detailed overview of infrastructure works and industrial initiatives being implemented across the state.

Officials briefed the Chief Secretary on various development projects taken up by TGIIC to strengthen industrial infrastructure and attract investments into Telangana.

The review focused on the progress of several major projects currently under implementation. These included the proposed Industrial Smart City at Zaheerabad and the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park near Warangal.

Officials also discussed the development of Mega Industrial Hubs, pharma clusters and the proposed Bharat Future City project. These initiatives form part of the state government’s strategy to expand industrial activity.

During the meeting, the Chief Secretary asked TGIIC officials to build a comprehensive digital dashboard. The platform should track key performance indicators related to industrial development.

The dashboard should capture data such as total investments attracted, number of projects grounded and employment generated through industrial parks developed by TGIIC.

The Chief Secretary said such a monitoring system would allow the government to track the progress of TGIIC projects in a transparent and structured manner.

Referring to the Industrial Smart City proposed at Zaheerabad, he asked officials to prepare a focused plan to attract investors.

He said the project had the potential to emerge as a major industrial destination in the region. The initiative could also contribute significantly to the state’s economic growth.

While reviewing the status of the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, the Chief Secretary said the project could generate large-scale employment in the region.

Such issues should be addressed quickly through coordinated administrative action, he said.
