Hyderabad: The government released TG SET 2026 results on Tuesday, thereby opening admissions for Class V and backlog seats from Classes VI to IX across residential institutions. The TG SET 2026 results marked the start of the admission process for the 2026–27 academic year.
Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar announced the results at the TGSWREIS building in Masab Tank. Meanwhile, senior officials, including TRICOR Chairman Tejavat Bellayya Naik and TGTWREIS Secretary Sita Lakshmi, attended the event.
The examination covered admissions into institutions run by TGSWREIS, TGTWREIS, MJPTBCWREIS, and TREIS. Earlier, authorities conducted the test on February 22 at 492 centres across the state.
TG SET 2026 results show strong participation across Telangana
A total of 1,82,061 candidates registered for the exam. Out of them, 1,72,913 candidates appeared, thereby recording a 95 per cent attendance. The highest score, meanwhile, reached 98 out of 100.
Authorities offered 51,284 seats across 635 institutions. In Phase I, officials filled 47,381 seats through allotment. Consequently, selected candidates must report to their allotted schools between March 25 and April 15, 2026.
The minister said authorities conducted the selection process transparently and systematically. Moreover, he added that officials would not allow middlemen or agents at any stage. Therefore, admissions will remain strictly merit-based.
Officials said the online system ensured fairness and reduced manual intervention. In addition, the process allowed candidates to access results and allotments without delays.
The minister also said the government is holding discussions with the Finance Department to address pending salary issues. At the same time, he added that authorities are taking steps to regularise wages in line with labour laws.
