Hyderabad: Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar on Tuesday announced the TG SET 2026 results, recording 95% attendance and a merit-based selection process.
He released the TG SET 2026 results at the TGSWREIS Building in Masab Tank. Senior officials, including Dr. Tejavat Bellayya Naik, Smt. Sita Lakshmi, Sri Saidulu, and B.M. Santosh, attended the event.
Officials said 1.82 lakh candidates registered for the exam. Out of them, 1.72 lakh students appeared, resulting in a 95% turnout. Moreover, the highest score reached 98 out of 100, indicating intense competition.
Authorities conducted the examination on February 22 for admissions into Class V. It also covered backlog seats from Classes VI to IX across welfare institutions in Telangana.
TG SET 2026 results highlight participation and seats
The TG SET 2026 results showed strong participation and wide seat allocation. Authorities offered 51,284 seats across 635 institutions. In Phase I, they filled 47,381 seats.
Selected candidates must report to their allotted schools between March 25 and April 15, 2026. They must carry required documents to confirm admission. Therefore, timely reporting remains essential.
The Minister said the TG SET results followed a transparent and merit-based process. He warned that authorities will not tolerate middlemen or agents under any circumstances.
TG SET results and administrative updates
Alongside the TG SET results, the Minister spoke about employee-related issues. He said the government is holding discussions with the Finance Department.
He added that officials are working to resolve pending salary issues. In addition, the government plans to regularise wages in line with labour laws.
The Minister said these steps would strengthen institutional functioning. He added that the TG SET results reflect the government’s focus on fair and efficient admissions.
