Hyderabad: TG RERA revoked the registration of the Jaya Platinum Project in Bowrampet after construction stalled at 66 per cent in June 2022.
The Authority acted following complaints from purchasers. It referred the matter to the Engineering Staff College of India for an independent technical inspection. Based on the ESCI report and due process under Sections 7 and 8 of the RERA Act, 2016, TG RERA declared the promoter, M/s Jayathri Infrastructures India Pvt. Ltd., a defaulter and debarred it.
Earlier, authorities imposed a penalty of ₹2,36,83,156 on the company for violations across multiple projects. They also informed all States and Union Territories RERAs and planning authorities to block further approvals.
Allottees complete Jaya Platinum Project under TG RERA supervision
Subsequently, TG RERA supervised the Association of Allottees as they completed the remaining 34 per cent construction. The association later secured the Occupancy Certificate for the project.
Through this intervention, homebuyers secured long-pending relief. The action also reinforced regulatory oversight in the real estate sector.
Officials said the move reflects the Telangana government’s commitment to protecting homebuyers’ interests and enforcing accountability among promoters.
