TG CET 2026 results and digital governance reforms
The TG Online platform will feature 24 integrated modules. It will compile academic, educational and health records of over five lakh students across the state. As a result, authorities expect stronger central monitoring and data-based governance. In turn, the system will support faster decision-making and more efficient service delivery.
Krishna Aditya said Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar directed officials to modernise hostel kitchens in social welfare residential schools. Accordingly, the department will coordinate with district collectors to implement the upgrades. He also confirmed a proposal to establish five professional colleges offering B.Ed and Pharmacy courses.
Officials have released funds to clear pending salaries of outsourcing and other staff. In addition, the department has already begun procuring textbooks for the next academic year. Authorities plan to distribute the books before schools reopen.
Infrastructure expansion across gurukul institutions
Krishna Aditya said the department will strengthen 37 Centres of Excellence, 28 sports academies and three special schools. The focus will remain on academic standards, infrastructure and specialised training facilities. At the same time, officials have introduced a facial recognition system to monitor staff and student attendance and to improve transparency.
The department has started distributing school and hostel kits to students. Furthermore, it has proposed allocating Rs 50 crore to each institution for infrastructure and facility development. The aim is to improve both academic and residential standards.
Officials have already launched these measures in schools at Shaikpet. They are prioritising sanitation, safety protocols and food quality. Additionally, the department has initiated steps to reduce long-term absenteeism. It plans to enforce a structured monitoring system to ensure regular attendance and academic continuity. When necessary, institutions are providing medical assistance to students.
Krishna Aditya said the government is implementing administrative, academic and infrastructure reforms across gurukul institutions in Telangana. The state currently has 268 gurukuls. Of these, 150 operate from their own buildings, while 79 function from rented premises.
