Hyderabad: A deadly collision between two motorcycles claimed the lives of two young men in Telangana’s Nizamabad district on Wednesday, sending shockwaves through neighbouring villages.
The accident occurred near Kashtapur village in Bhiknur mandal when the two motorcycles, speeding towards each other from opposite directions, collided head-on. The impact was so severe that both riders died on the spot.
Police identified the deceased as 40-year-old Gangaram from Chincholi village and 18-year-old Sangam Naveen, also known as Nandu, from Anaram village. According to officials, Gangaram was returning from Bhiknur after refuelling his tractor with diesel when the tragic accident unfolded.
Residents from both villages, which are located close to each other, were plunged into mourning after news of the accident spread. The bodies have been shifted to Banswada Area Hospital for post-mortem examination, and a case has been registered by the local police to investigate the circumstances leading to the crash.
