Hyderabad: In a large-scale administrative reshuffle, the Telangana government has transferred 129 municipal commissioners across the state.
According to officials, the changes were made following performance reviews. While some officers were promoted, others were moved due to unsatisfactory performance.
The Congress-led state government had recently reassigned several IAS and IPS officers. The municipal reshuffle follows that pattern, aimed at improving governance in urban local bodies.
Municipal Administration Secretary Dr. TK Sreedevi issued formal orders on Monday, confirming that the transfers take immediate effect.
Among those transferred, T Rajeshwar, previously serving as Deputy Commissioner in Warangal Municipal Corporation, has been posted as Municipal Commissioner of Mahabubabad.
