Telangana Govt issues notification to recruit 1,623 specialist doctors

Hyderabad: The Telangana Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board has issued a notification to fill 1,623 specialist doctor posts across government hospitals. The announcement was made Friday as part of the state’s continued healthcare strengthening initiative.

Out of the total, 1,616 vacancies fall under Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (TVVP) hospitals, while 7 posts are allotted to RTC hospitals. The recruitment covers 18 specialties including Anesthesia, Gynaecology, Pediatrics, General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Radiology, Pathology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Hospital Administration, Biochemistry, and Microbiology.

Telangana specialist doctor recruitment opens September 8 for 1,623 posts

According to the notification, the posts are distributed across Multi-Zone 1 (858 positions) and Multi-Zone 2 (765 positions). Pay scales range from ₹58,850 to ₹1,37,050 for TVVP roles and from ₹58,500 to ₹1,31,000 for RTC hospital positions. Applications will be accepted from September 8 to September 22.

Officials stated that the recruitment is aimed at addressing the shortage of specialist doctors in district hospitals, area hospitals, and community health centres, especially in rural regions. So far, the state has filled nearly 8,000 health department posts, with recruitment ongoing for an additional 7,000.
