Telangana sets up control room for Gulf residents amid West Asia tensions

Hyderabad: The Telangana government set up a control room at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi to assist residents in Gulf countries amid escalating West Asia tensions.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reviewed the developments and expressed concern over the safety of Telangana natives in the region. Consequently, he directed officials to activate the control room immediately and monitor the situation around the clock.

Control room to coordinate with MEA and embassies

Officials at Telangana Bhavan are coordinating directly with the Ministry of External Affairs and Indian embassies in the concerned countries. Meanwhile, they are collecting real-time updates and tracking the situation continuously.

Authorities estimate that nearly 15 lakh Telangana residents live across Gulf nations. Therefore, the government has prioritised immediate assistance measures, particularly for migrants from Nizamabad and Karimnagar districts.

Officials are compiling details of passengers stranded at airports due to flight cancellations. Subsequently, they will arrange temporary accommodation and travel support wherever required.

The Chief Minister’s Office urged residents not to panic and assured that the government will extend full support during the ongoing crisis.
