Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will attend the Telangana Sports Conclave today at HICC Novotel, Hyderabad, where the state is set to unveil its Sports Policy 2025. Renowned sports figures, officials, and journalists will also join the day-long event, organised by the Department of Sports.
All preparations have been completed for the conclave, aimed at introducing the policy to stakeholders across the sporting ecosystem.
Prominent participants include analyst Charu Sharma, Olympians Pullela Gopichand, Gagan Narang, Anju Bobby George, and senior journalists Vishwanathan and Sabha Nayak, along with representatives from sports federations.
The Sports Policy 2025, developed under the leadership of CM Revanth Reddy and the Telangana Sports Authority, focuses on:
Strengthening governance in sport
Expanding long-term infrastructure
Creating employment pathways
Building a statewide sports ecosystem
Officials said the conclave will also feature signing of MoUs with FIFA, global experts, and major corporates to establish key strategic partnerships.
Telangana Sports Authority chairman Shivasena Reddy called the event a launchpad:
“Under the leadership of the Telangana Sports Authority, many more national and international events will follow. Telangana has already proven its capability to host events of this scale.”
He said the conclave aims to secure broad participation and national-level support for the policy’s implementation.
