Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Tuesday renewed the services of 2,760 personnel working in government degree colleges, including guest, contract, and outsourcing lecturers, through GO 1162.
The renewal covers 1,940 guest lecturers, 459 contract lecturers, 311 outsourcing staff, and 50 TASK employees. Despite the academic year already beginning, teaching had not resumed for over 40 days due to the lack of formal extensions.
Leaders from the Government Degree Contract Lecturers Association-390, including president G. Vaikuntham and general secretary B. Madhusudhan, thanked the government for acting on the issue.
