HYDERABAD: The Meteorological Department in Hyderabad reported that cumulonimbus cloud activity led to rainfall in several parts of Telangana on Wednesday. Officials stated that the influence of these clouds is expected to persist through Thursday.
According to the department, rainfall accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorm activity was recorded in parts of Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Hanamkonda, Warangal, Mahabubabad, Kothagudem, Khammam, Suryapet, and Nalgonda districts. Wind speeds reached between 40 and 50 kilometres per hour in these regions. An orange alert was issued in advance for these areas.
Additionally, rain was also predicted for the night in the districts of Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, and Mahabubnagar.
For Thursday, the forecast includes possible rainfall in Siddipet, Hanamkonda, Warangal, Jangaon, Mahabubabad, Hyderabad, Bhongir, Ranga Reddy, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Khammam, and Nagarkurnool. A yellow alert has been issued for these districts.
