Hyderabad: As part of the Telangana paperless governance initiative under the ‘Telangana Rising 2047’ vision document, the state government reaffirmed its commitment to digital administration, said Special Chief Secretary (Home) C.V. Anand.
On Friday, Anand visited the Directorate of Prosecution at Lakdikapul, Hyderabad, where he inaugurated the newly introduced e-office application. He stated that the system would enable swift file disposal and increase administrative accountability.
Anand congratulated the Director of Prosecution and staff for successful implementation of the e-office model in the department.
He also launched a facial recognition-based attendance system developed for the prosecution wing. According to Anand, this digital mechanism will enhance discipline and transparency in staff attendance tracking.
During a review meeting with prosecution officials, Anand issued key directives and acknowledged recent developments in criminal law at the national level. He appreciated the efforts of the prosecution team in drafting related circulars, standard operating procedures, and government orders.
He stressed the need for further measures to ensure effective implementation of the new criminal laws.
Director of Prosecution S. Sambasiva Reddy gave a presentation outlining the department’s performance and achievements. Several pending departmental matters were raised before Anand, who responded positively to address them.
