Telangana junior doctors warn of protests from June 30 over pending demands

Hyderabad: The Telangana Junior Doctors Association has threatened to stage state-wide protests in all medical colleges starting June 30 if pending issues are not resolved.

Association chairperson Madan Kumar said the government had been delaying action on disbursing stipends and revising stipend amounts for junior doctors.

He demanded that the state also address faculty recruitments and basic infrastructure in government and private medical colleges without further delay.

Junior doctors had earlier warned of similar agitation, but Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha had persuaded them to hold talks instead of striking.
