Hyderabad: In a bid to modernise its emergency response, Telangana’s Fire Services Department has thrown open the doors to a cutting-edge Fire Command Control Centre in Vattinagulapally, Ranga Reddy district.
Senior officials launched the facility on Monday, highlighting its sophisticated setup that includes a large video wall, advanced controllers, and computer-based dispatch systems. The centre promises to cut response times dramatically by linking up with the police, GHMC, the electricity board, and the water board all under one roof.
Officials pointed out that the new system uses GPS technology to quickly trace distress calls and direct fire vehicles straight to the scene. It’s a crucial upgrade in a city where seconds can make all the difference.
Beyond rapid response, the facility is also bringing artificial intelligence into the mix, enabling online issuance of Fire Fighting NOCs for buildings. This move aims to clear the bureaucratic backlog that often slows down approvals.
Authorities are confident that the new centre will be a game-changer for the state’s firefighting capabilities, setting a new benchmark in emergency management.
In addition to emergency response, the centre is also pioneering the use of artificial intelligence to issue Fire Fighting NOCs (No Objection Certificates) online, dramatically cutting down processing times for building safety approvals.
The new command centre is expected to transform the way fire services respond to emergencies, bringing unprecedented efficiency and coordination to Telangana’s firefighting capabilities.
