Hyderabad: Heavy overnight showers lashed parts of Telangana from Wednesday night into Thursday morning, with thunder and lightning lighting up the skies across several districts. Koheer in Sangareddy took the hit hardest, clocking a whopping 94.3 mm by 8:30 am.
Following closely were Tekmal in Medak at 89.5 mm, Chendam Pet in Nalgonda at 80 mm, and Pulkal – also in Sangareddy – with 75.8 mm. Kadtal in Ranga Reddy wasn’t far behind, logging 69.5 mm.
In Hyderabad, rain played out a little more gently, but not without leaving its mark. DEO Office and BHEL Factory areas in Ramachandrapuram saw 44 mm. Mylardevpally and Rajendranagar recorded 33.5 mm, while Kishan Bagh near Bahadurpura got 20.8 mm.
Other city spots showed lower but still notable readings: PJR Stadium in Chandanagar got 18.5 mm, MMTS Lingampally (Serilingampally) recorded 16.8 mm, Patancheru saw 15.8 mm, Shivaram Pally (Rajendranagar) received 14.8 mm, and Chandulal Baradari Sports Complex picked up 12.8 mm.
