Telangana Governor meets President and PM in New Delhi

Hyderabad: Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla met President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi separately in New Delhi on Friday during his first courtesy calls after taking charge.

Raj Bhavan sources said the Governor called on the President and the Prime Minister after assuming office. He thanked them for the opportunity to serve in the constitutional post. He held both meetings separately during his visit to the national capital.

Governor holds courtesy meetings in Delhi

The Governor met the two leaders soon after he assumed charge in Telangana. Officials described the calls as routine courtesy meetings that usually follow a new gubernatorial appointment.

Shukla expressed gratitude to the President and the Prime Minister for entrusting him with the responsibility. Authorities did not disclose further details of the discussions.
