Telangana’s first woman RTC driver Saritha honoured by Minister Konda Surekha

Hyderabad: Forest Minister Konda Surekha on Thursday honoured Saritha, the first woman to serve as a driver with the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC), calling her a role model for women nationwide.

Saritha met the minister at her Jubilee Hills residence, where she was felicitated with a shawl. During their conversation, Saritha discussed her personal background and explained the circumstances that led her to leave her job at the Delhi Transport Corporation to join the TGSRTC.

Minister Surekha lauded Saritha’s determination and said her achievement would inspire many more women to step into traditionally male-dominated professions. She assured Saritha of her support and encouraged her to reach out if she faced any issues in the course of her work.
