Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Sunday extended the engagement of 16,448 posts linked to the Director of Medical Education for one more year to keep medical education and healthcare services running smoothly until permanent recruitment is finalised.
The sanctioned posts cover clinical and non-clinical categories, including 4,772 on contract, 8,615 on outsourcing, 3,056 on honorarium, and three multi-tasking staff.
These roles serve government medical colleges, teaching hospitals, nursing and dental colleges in Telangana. The extension affects faculty and staff such as Professors, Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, Senior Residents, doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, data entry operators, and Class IV employees.
The order extending these positions was issued by Principal Secretary of Finance Sandeep Sultania.
