Kishan Reddy reaffirms Centre support for Telangana development

Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy said the Centre continued to support Telangana development over the past eleven years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

He said the Union government prioritised Telangana development through budget allocations for road transport and railway projects. He added that infrastructure expansion remained a key focus.

Kishan Reddy announced that the Union Ministry of Road Transport approved projects worth ₹103 crore under the Setu Bandhan scheme. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for clearing the proposals.

He spoke at the Hyderabad District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee meeting held at Dr. MCR HRD Institute in Jubilee Hills on Friday.

Kishan Reddy reviews Telangana development projects in DISHA meet

The Hyderabad district collector, GHMC Commissioner, and Water Works Managing Director attended the meeting. Officials from multiple departments also participated in the review.

The committee examined the progress of Telangana development works and central schemes in Hyderabad district. Officials presented updates on implementation status and project execution.

Senior representatives from GHMC, Water Works, and other departments briefed the committee on ground-level progress. Members reviewed performance and flagged areas requiring attention.

Kishan Reddy said the meeting aimed to ensure timely completion of projects funded by the Centre. He added that officials must improve access to welfare schemes for the public.
