Hyderabad: Meteorologists on Monday warned that Telangana is entering a period of intense cold. Dense fog is likely to form in many regions tomorrow. The advisory calls for heightened caution, especially in the early morning hours.
Experts said south, east, and central Telangana districts are most likely to experience thick fog. This will reduce visibility and increase travel risk. They urged residents in these areas to remain alert and take precautions.
Fog expected, travel advisory issued
Authorities specifically advised early‑morning travelers and motorists on highways to exercise extra caution due to poor visibility from dense fog. Drivers are encouraged to reduce speed, use fog lights, and maintain safe following distances.
The meteorological office also forecast that the cold wave conditions will persist across all districts of Telangana. Temperatures are expected to remain low through the night and into the early hours of the next day.
People were asked to stay indoors from late night until dawn unless absolutely necessary. Officials stressed that avoiding outdoor exposure during the coldest hours will help reduce health risks. This is especially important for the older people, children, and those with respiratory issues.
