DTOs personally supervised the removal of all boards and barricades. They also placed new signs announcing that the check-posts no longer operate.
The Chief Minister told officers to withdraw all staff from these locations at once. DTOs recorded the entire removal process on video and stored the footage for departmental use.
DTOs shift records and materials to district offices
Officials moved furniture, computers, and other items from each check-post to the DTO offices. They secured cash books, receipts, and other records for safe custody.
Transport officers cleared the areas to ensure free vehicle movement. Each DTO sent a report to the Transport Commissioner by 5 p.m., confirming staff redeployment, record transfer, and site clearance.
