Hyderabad: The recent expansion of the Telangana cabinet has sparked discontent among Congress loyalists, with MLA Mal Reddy Ranga Reddy from Ibrahimpatnam voicing his frustration over being overlooked for a ministerial berth.
Speaking to the media, Ranga Reddy questioned why long-serving, dedicated party workers were being denied key posts while newcomers were consistently rewarded. “Those of us who have worked loyally for years are being ignored, and that’s deeply hurtful,” he said, his disappointment evident.
He revealed that he had personally requested to be included in the cabinet, only to have his plea dismissed by the party high command. “It feels like a complete betrayal,” he said. “If this attitude continues, the party could face serious repercussions in the future.”
Ranga Reddy warned that such decisions erode the morale of grassroots leaders and loyalists, leaving them disillusioned and disheartened. He urged the party leadership to reconsider its approach to appointments, reminding them that a house divided cannot stand.
