Hyderabad: Telangana Assembly chaos erupted on Sunday after remarks by Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender triggered protests from BRS legislators during the ongoing session.
Members of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi rushed towards the podium and raised slogans, disrupting proceedings. The protests followed sharp allegations made by Danam Nagender regarding land allocations during the previous government.
He targeted K. T. Rama Rao, accusing him of handing over his own land to a private company while in power. Nagender claimed that the alleged actions caused him significant personal losses.
The MLA said he had remained silent earlier despite being affected. However, he now demanded a detailed probe into the issue. He urged the state government to constitute a House Committee to investigate the alleged irregularities.

Nagender said he possessed documentary evidence related to the alleged land transactions. He added that he was ready to submit all documents if the government initiated an inquiry.
He stated that only a thorough investigation would bring out the facts behind the land dealings. He also emphasised that the extent of losses he claimed to have suffered must be examined.
The allegations sparked strong reactions from BRS members, who disrupted the House proceedings. The protests reflected escalating tensions between ruling and opposition members over the issue.
The Assembly session witnessed repeated interruptions as the controversy deepened, with demands for accountability and a formal probe gaining momentum.
