Telangana ACB arrests Nalgonda fire officer for ₹8,000 bribe

Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officers caught A. Satyanarayana Reddy, Station Fire Officer of Nalgonda, while he was taking a ₹8,000 bribe from a complainant. Officials said Reddy demanded the money to process a temporary licence and issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for a firecracker shop.

ACB officers seized the cash and filed a corruption case against him under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The agency began further investigation into the incident.
