Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Saturday caught P. Jagadesh Babu, Assistant Engineer (Panchayati Raj), red-handed for accepting a ₹90,000 bribe in Peddapalli district.
Babu, who was in charge of Kalvasrirampur and Odela Mandals under Eligedu Mandal, had demanded ₹1,00,000 from a contractor to enter completed CC road work in the Measurement Book and forward it to the Deputy Executive Engineer of Peddapalli Sub-Division. He was caught after accepting ₹90,000 from the complainant.
Babu was working from the office of the Deputy Executive Engineer, Panchayati Raj Department, Peddapalli Sub-Division.

The identity of the complainants will be kept confidential.
