Task Force busts adulterated paneer racket, six arrested

Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force busted an adulterated paneer racket in Secunderabad and arrested six persons for selling unhygienic dairy products sourced from unknown origins.

The Task Force, along with Food Safety Officer B. Sahithi, conducted a surprise inspection near Ganj Bazar under Mahankali police limits. During the operation, teams inspected six wholesale and retail establishments.

Officials found that the accused procured and sold adulterated paneer and other dairy items in bulk. They supplied these products to hotels, catering services and customers while projecting them as quality goods.

Task Force seizes adulterated paneer stock

The inspection revealed that the accused stored dairy products in open plastic covers. As a result, dust, flies and contaminants exposed the items, making them unsafe for consumption.

Officials also found that the products lacked proper labelling. There were no details on brand name, manufacturing date or expiry, indicating serious violations of food safety norms.

The Task Force seized 3,892 kg of dairy products, including paneer, khoa, white cream, ghee and kalakand. The seized stock is valued at around ₹11.11 lakh.

Police identified the accused as Jaipal Singh Rajpurohit, Kolariya Vaibhav, Naresh Kolariya, Prem Anil Vyas, Ram Kishore Kolariya and Laxmi Narayana Kolariya.

Authorities handed over the accused and seized material to Mahankali Police Station for further legal action. Investigation is in progress.

The operation took place under the supervision of Inspector P. Raghavender, along with SI G. Srikanth and Task Force personnel.
