Hyderabad: Swiggy Dineout savings in Hyderabad touched Rs.114.8 crore in 2025 as residents used discounts across casual, fine, and luxury dining. As a result, the city ranked third in the country.

Importantly, the savings were not limited to small bills. In one case, a diner saved Rs.1,17,905 from a single booking, which stood as the second-highest saving nationwide.

According to data from Swiggy, celebrations drove dining activity throughout the year. For instance, Hyderabad recorded more than 8,700 bookings on Valentine’s Day, the second highest in India. The highest bill on that day reached Rs.45,721.

Interestingly, Father’s Day recorded more bookings than Mother’s Day in the city. Swiggy Dineout logged 9,275 bookings on Father’s Day, along with the highest single bill in India at Rs.66,198. Meanwhile, Mother’s Day saw 8,323 bookings, with the top bill touching Rs.98,725.

In addition, Hyderabad featured among the top five cities for dining transactions between midnight and 3 am. This highlighted the city’s strong late-night dining culture. During the Great Indian Restaurant Festival, diners saved Rs.47.72 crore. At the same time, premium dining posted a 110 percent year-on-year growth.

Beyond dining out, food trends showed high-value gifting and fast deliveries. For example, one resident spent Rs.47,106 on 65 boxes of dry fruit cookie gift packs in August. Hyderabad also ranked second nationally for Bolt fast-delivery orders.

Chicken biryani led food orders with 17.4 lakh deliveries. It was followed by idli at 6.9 lakh and veg dosa at 6.6 lakh. Overall, Bengaluru recorded the highest deliveries, followed by Hyderabad and Mumbai.

Across India, Swiggy delivery partners covered 1.24 billion kilometres in 2025. A partner from Bengaluru completed 11,718 deliveries. Similarly, a woman delivery partner from Chennai led her category with 8,169 deliveries.

Reacting to the trends, Swiggy Food Marketplace Chief Business Officer Sidharth Bhakoo said Hyderabad showed a balance between classic dishes and national favourites. He added that the company aimed to deliver consistent food experiences across the city.
