HYDERABAD: The Supreme Court has directed the Telangana government to immediately halt all activities on the disputed Kancha Gachibowli land, citing concerns over legal violations. The court has also included the Chief Secretary of the state government as a respondent in the case.
During the hearing, Justice Gavai questioned the urgency behind the government’s actions and expressed strong disapproval of any attempt to take the law into its own hands. The court emphasised that the issue is of serious concern and directed the Chief Secretary to provide a detailed response.
In a significant move, the Supreme Court has instructed the Telangana government to submit an affidavit regarding the matter. The next hearing has been scheduled for April 16, during which further directives will be issued. Meanwhile, the High Court has also ordered that no actions should be taken on the land until further notice.
