Hyderabad: The All India Mahila Congress has issued a show-cause notice to Sunitha Rao Mogli, President of the Telangana Pradesh Mahila Congress, following her protest against the state Congress leadership earlier this month.
The notice, dated 21 May and signed by Mahila Congress national president Alka Lamba, refers to an incident on 14 May in which Mogli reportedly staged a protest against the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president inside the party’s office premises. The letter described Mogli’s actions as a serious breach of party discipline and behaviour unworthy of her position.
It went on to stress that senior leaders are expected to raise concerns through formal channels at the appropriate time and place, and in a manner that reflects respect for the party’s processes. By choosing to stage a protest within party premises, Mogli not only defied internal protocol but also, the leadership noted, dealt a blow to the organisation’s public image.
