Hyderabad: BRS MLA Sudheer Reddy staged a protest in the Assembly premises over the mosquito menace, accusing the State government of damaging Hyderabad’s brand image.
He attempted to enter the Assembly carrying a mosquito net and a fogging machine. However, marshals stopped him and denied entry with the items.
Raising objections, the MLA argued that no session was underway and questioned the restrictions. He then pushed past marshals and entered the premises.

Wearing a mosquito net, he addressed the media and demanded immediate measures to control mosquitoes in the city.
According to him, the situation had worsened under the current government. As a result, residents were facing severe inconvenience.
The MLA said the city’s brand image was deteriorating due to poor civic conditions. Meanwhile, people feared mosquito-related issues.
Further, he accused GHMC officials of failing to take minimum steps for mosquito control and urged the government to act urgently to protect public health.
